Xin chào, eScience!
Last February, 2025, we set off for an unforgettable escape to the heart of Central Vietnam—exploring the
vibrant city of Da Nang and the enchanting lantern-lit streets of Hoi An. From majestic mountains to ancient
towns, every moment was packed with awe, laughter, and memories we’ll cherish forever.
Day 1: Arrival in Da Nang – Touchdown and Take It Slow
Our journey began with excitement as we landed in the coastal city of Da Nang. Greeted by sunny skies and
warm breezes, we checked into our accommodations and took the rest of the day to settle in, relax, and
sample local Vietnamese cuisine. Some wandered along the beachfront, while others explored the lively city
streets or just unwound at the hotel.
Day 2: Sun World Ba Na Hills – Where Dreams Meet the Clouds
An early start led us up to the mountaintop marvel that is Sun World Ba Na Hills—an experience nothing short
of magical.
We ascended via one of the world’s longest cable car rides, where the views were nothing but spectacular.
First stop, The Golden Bridge, held gracefully by two giant stone hands—an architectural icon that took our
breath away.
We strolled through the romantic Le Jardin d’Amour, a series of themed gardens blooming with color and
elegance, perfect for dreamy photos and quiet moments.
From there, we soaked up the European charm of the French Village, enjoyed thrilling rides at the indoor
Fantasy Park, and made new memories at every turn.
To cap the day off, we visited the iconic Da Nang Cathedral, a pastel-pink landmark steeped in history and
charm—a picturesque spot that perfectly summed up the city's vibe.
Day 2: Sun World Ba Na Hills – Where Dreams Meet the Clouds
On our final day, we ventured to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An Ancient Town. Stepping into Hoi An
felt like entering a living painting—lanterns swaying in the breeze, yellow-hued colonial buildings, and
narrow streets lined with artisan shops and cafés.
Our adventure began with the famous Basket Boat Ride through the coconut palm-lined waterways of Cam Thanh
village. Guided by skilled locals, we marveled at their spinning tricks, danced on the boats, and even tried
our hand at paddling the iconic round boats ourselves. It was a unique experience—equal parts thrill and
tradition.
Later, we wandered through Hoi An’s ancient houses, historic temples, and the iconic Japanese Covered
Bridge. The vibrant markets and tailor shops were a haven for souvenirs and custom clothing.
