An unforgettable weekend of adventure
Last March 15-17, our eScience Family embarked on an unforgettable adventure-filled weekend at the Summer Conference in CDO - Bukidnon. From thrilling river rafting to heart-pounding ziplining, the journey was nothing short of exhilarating.
Day 1: CDO - White Water Rafting and Adventure Quest Dinner Party
Our adventure kicked off with a delightful lunch at Redtail Shrimps & More, where we indulged in a seafood feast to fuel our energy for the day ahead. With satisfied appetites, we made our way to the Cagayan River for an adrenaline-pumping white water rafting adventure. Divided into 13 groups, we tackled the 14 rapids of the beginner course, navigating through the rushing waters with teamwork and excitement.
Following an exciting afternoon on the river, we arrived at our lodging at Seda Centrio, perfectly situated in the city center. As night fell, we joined together for the Adventure Quest Dinner Party held in the Sinamay Room, where laughter and companionship were abundant. Games, festivities, and commemorations of achievements combined to create a memorable evening.
Day 2: Bukidnon - Thrills at Dahilayan Forest Park
The second day took us to the breathtaking landscapes of Bukidnon, where Dahilayan Forest Park awaited. Our hearts raced as we experienced three types of ziplines, including Asia's Longest Dual Zipline, where we soared like Superman from a launch point at 4,700 feet above sea level. Thrill-seekers among us also braved the Drop Zone, freefalling 120 feet into a man-made lake.
The adventure continued with attractions such as the Forest Luge, Rainbow Slides, Hanging Bridge, and a mini-golf course, providing endless excitement for all. After a day of adrenaline-fueled fun, we savored a sumptuous dinner at Ribs & Bibs, located at SM CDO Downtown.
Day 3: Free Day
As our last day dawned, some of us took the opportunity to visit local churches in CDO, while others enjoyed peaceful moments in the tranquility of our hotel rooms. Some ventured out to purchase pasalubong for loved ones, while others relished in the seafood delights from the first day once more.
As we boarded our plane back to Manila, hearts full of gratitude, we reflected on the incredible experiences shared and the bonds strengthened during our time in CDO and Bukidnon. Until our next adventure, we carry with us memories of laughter, adventure, and the beauty of exploration.
